Add/Modify the Location of an Entry

Steps to insert or amend the location of an entry.

With Auto-Add Location enabled, Journey automatically captures your location each time you create a new entry.

Android, iOS & Mac Catalyst

In the editor > tap the Location Pin icon. Please allow Journey to access your location. Your current location will be automatically added into your entry.

Pick a Place: Change / search a nearby place and street names
Rename: Change the name of the place. The latitude and longitude will remain the same
Remove Geotag: Remove location metadata stored in the entry

To turn off this feature, please go to Settings > General > uncheck Auto Add Location.

Journey Desktop (Mac, PC and Linux)

In the editor > click on the Location Pin icon.

Pick a Place: Change / search a nearby place and street names. You can also create a custom place
Remove Geotag: Remove location metadata stored in the entry

Web

In the editor > click on the Location Pin icon. Please grant Journey the location permission in your web browser. Your current location will be automatically added into your entry.

Rename: Change the name of the place. The latitude and longitude will remain the same
Remove Geotag: Remove location metadata stored in the entry

Please note that the weather information will not be retrieved if there are no location in the entry.
